Challenge 7: Can't We All Just Get Along?- The Challenge

From Just Crafty Enough:

The contestants were plugged in for this challenge. They were tasked with creating a whole line, complete with fabric patterns, as well as video footage that helps tell the message of their inspiration. They pulled from themes around the city.

For us to translate this challenge into our scale is tricky.

Design a fabric – and make sure the fabric is featured in your look. Help us understand the source of your inspiration.

If you are feeling ambitious, show us a few sketches about how you would picture the rest of your collection.

And don’t fight with yourself. : )

Time Limit - 14 hours

Accessories - Feel free to chose accessories from the Piperlime Accessory Wall to go with to go with your outfit.

Good Luck! We’ll see you on the runway!

Challenge 6: The Art of the Matter-Oops!

It's Thursday already? I haven't even picked out/made an inspirition painting. I've been super busy, and have ran out of time. I guess I'm sitting this one out. But, have no fear, I'll be back next week for whatever crazy stuff they make us do. (And maybe, if I have time, I'll try to get this look done, too, someday, so that I can have a full collection)

Challenge 5: Off the Track- The Runway

Challegne 5 Runway

Well, you can definitely tell that I only spent about an hour and a half on this. This was for a couple reasons. First: I have been crazy busy, with guests on town almost all last week, and new ones coming into town tonight. Second: I hate this kind of challenge, where Heidi (or whoever) basically says "Hi designers, design something that I can sell and make lots of money off your hard work. kthanksbye" Third: I don't even know what the challenge was. When they gave out the challenge, they said not to do workout clothes, but then they dinged people for not making workout clothes. And fourth: Heidi's sneakers are kind of ugly. Nurse. Shoes.

Anyway, I would pair my outfit (which was supposed to look more like a light drape-y jersey blouse and tight miniskirt, and less like a sweatshirt) with sneakers (natch!) and a bold watch (since this girl is clearly about practicality, not fashion).

Challenge 5: Off the Track- The Workroom

P8293647

What do you wear with sneakers? Jeans and a T-shirt. Although the jeans might turn into a skirt before I'm done. Pants! Eep!

Challenge 5: Off the Track- The Challenge

Create a look to go with Heidi’s New Balance Sneakers.

Think fashion, don’t think just gym. It could be a dress or a suit. Think classic with a twist. You have to use a fabric used in Heidi’s shoe which are denim and suede. The denim or suede does not have to be the dominate fabric, but it does have to be evident. The designers had to create three outfits because they were in teams of three, since we aren’t in teams we’ll only make one outfit. At least that means no fights in the workroom!

Time Limit – You have 15.5 hours to complete this challenge

I would just like to point out how ridiculous this challenge is. "Make something to wear with sneakers; not work-out clothes, but not fancy clothes. Also, it's going to be for Heidi." Blergh.

Also: If Heidi makes the sneakers-with-nice clothes look like this:

The rest of us have no hope to make it look chic.
